The connection of communities is very important to the railway history in many ways and offers us many create ways to tell the Prince Edward Island story in Canada's Birthplace initiative.

Prince Edward Island and it's communities opted out of confederation.

The railway ties our communities together in Confederation history.

Reenacting community railway stories and legacies will:
1-Increase awareness in our railway history.
2-create a Railway presence that is non existent in festivals and historical events across the island.
3-Increase the opportunity to perform and gain sustainability.

4-Create cultural sector opportunities for our performers and artists in every community.

5-By working together to develop this community railway heritage,
We are developing new venues and economic development for the artists in the communities they live in.

This connection is important to artist and cultural sector economic development along the trail.

Currently no railway heritage reenactments are performed for festivals and Prince Edward Island community events.

Prince Edward Island Communities can participate to present it's Railway stations historical roll in Canada's birthplace and confederation story.

Increasing historical performances in Community festivals and events will increase awareness in our islands railway legacy.
